Full ETH/ERC20 support, new listings and tokenization

Full ETH/ERC-20 support

QoinPro launched full support for automatic deposits and withdrawals (without limits) for ETH and ERC20 tokens. Furthermore, new features have been added as well.

All entries in your transaction history now refer to your on-chain transactions which are verifyable through 3rd party block explorers. You will also find a lot more information available regarding your transaction details, such as:

  • Transaction ID (TXID)
  • From and To addresses
  • Gas price (and gas used)
  • Number of confirmations

From now on you can also control the gas price used for both ETH and ERC20 transactions. All deposits and withdrawals are processed automatically and will be sent to the blockchain immediately without manual intervention. On top of that, there are no maximum limits.

Your daily ETH and ERC-20 coin rewards are now shown as an off-chain balance, this is shown as a total amount at the top of the transaction overview page (see below).

For a short period of time, you will not be able to view the transaction history of your off-chain balance. Do not worry there are more developments coming which will include a breakdown of the off-chain balance as well as a button to transfer the off-chain balance into your wallet.

New listing - Metronome ("MET")

Good news! You can now find MET in your wallet. Click here and have a glance!

About Metronome

MET is the world's first autonomous cryptocurrency which is capable of being exported and imported across chains. It is designed to bring institutional-class endurance to the cryptocurrency category through:

  • Self-governance - Metronome is designed to function indefinitely without management by a particular group or individual, even its authors.
  • Reliability - The system is architected for steady and predictable token supply via descending price auctions.
  • Portability - With the ability to move between blockchains, the cryptocurrency is further protected from management issues and instability.

What can Metronome be used for?

Some possible use cases include, but are not limited to:

  • Decentralized store of value across blockchains
  • Advanced payment settlement:
    • Mass Pay — allowing users to send tokens to multiple addresses with one action.
    • Subscriptions — allowing users to set up recurring payments between themselves and other parties. Subscription is a payment feature unique to Metronome.

What's coming next

  • Additional listings: We will continue to add new tokens on a regular basis. This will include both ERC20 tokens as well as tokens with on other chains (or with their own chain).

  • Localisation: Behind the scenes we have been working tirelessly on adding support for multiple languages and the ability for users to contribute translations. Stay tuned for more information, it will be available soon!
  • Tokenization: QoinPro will launch it's own token somewhere in 2020, and active users will be rewarded with the token. Rewards will be based on balances, number of transactions, number of referrals, and the age of the account and/or balances. In other words, the more you use QoinPro, the more tokens you will receive.

More tech updates

  • Other new listings: In addition to Metronome (MET), TrueUSD (TUSD), Binance Coin (BNB) and BitMartToken (BMC) have also been added to QoinPro and are available in your wallet. Simply login and go to your balances to have a look.

  • Bugs fixes: The following bugs have been fixed. If you encounter any more bugs, or feel the following haven't been fixed, please get in touch with support

    • FIXED: Users' Twitter handle is not being verified in their profile.
    • FIXED: Occasional timeout during account creation
    • FIXED: Authentication redirect issue in some browsers
    • FIXED: BCH doesn't detect SPL addresses correctly
    • FIXED: Block heights aren't updated automatically
  • Optimisation: All on-chain ETH and ERC-20 transactions no longer have a minimum or maximum transaction amount and users can choose from three options for the gas price to prioritise their transaction.

  • Network updates: The following back-end changes have been made in order to continue to support the listed tokens:

    • Bitcoin Cash (BCH) node upgraded to 0.20.6, to support the fork/upgrade that happened on November 15
    • Litecoin (LTC) has been upgraded to 0.17.1, which required a transaction index upgrade

What is gas? gas limit?

When transacting on the Ethereum network, "gas" and "gas limit" are common terminology that will appear on our screens. What is gas? What happens if we run out of gas? We have published a short story (3 mins read) on this topic which we hope you find useful.
